INTRODUCTION

My name is Oleg Borsos, and I am an Ukrainian-born, Budapest based composer, music producer and songwriter. I write and produce music for films, shorts, commercials, online audiovisual media, television and more.

In my first musical works, I produced music for award-winning animated films such as I Am Simon (2009) directed by Tünde Molnár, as well as for several audiovisual art projects and commercials.

I was a founding member of the Hungarian electronic alt-pop band Polar Dear (2011-2017), which I continued as a solo project from 2012 and was nominated for several music awards. As Polar Dear, my music has been used in several shows of major Hungarian TV channels, in various commercials and in award-winning short films such as Last Call directed by Hajni Kis.

In 2017, a track of mine called CROWD (published by Central Publishing) was used for Chanel and i-D Magazine's joint campaign Fifth Sense, which focuses on female creativity.

One of my most recent works is the original soundtrack for the film Wild Roots (2021, Külön Falka) directed by Hajni Kis, which was selected for the 23rd MUSIC & CINEMA - Festival International du Film à Marseille feature film competition.

My aim is to create carefully crafted, not-trite, modern sounding, original music and soundscapes in a variety of styles/genres that fit perfectly with the audiovisual projects they are produced for.
